Yemen: Arab coalition warplanes strike Houthi weapons caches in Ibb

Arab coalition warplanes carried out airstrikes on the base of the 55th Armored Division in Yemen’s Ibb Province, Al Arabiya reported. In this airstrike many weapons caches were also targeted. This attack took place when Houthi militants and troops loyal to ousted Yemeni dictator Ali Abdullah Salah began bombing residential areas in eastern Ibb. Furthermore, the districts of Najd, al-Ahmar, the al-Razma and Parim heights also witnessed major clashes.
Militants in the 26th Presidential Guard Division located in Sawadiya al-Bayda targeted villages and homes with missiles and tank fire. This attack led to the destruction of homes and numerous civilians being killed.
Therefore, popular resistance forces loyal to Yemen President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi have called on the coalition to launch airstrikes on the 26th Presidential Guard Division base.
In Ta’izz three civilians were left killed and 13 others wounded – including many small children – in the bombardment of the Vadi al-Madad neighborhood in the city’s downtown area.
In Shabwah intense clashes in the al-Naqba triangle took place in the Habban governorate. Reports indicated clashes were escalating.
