While the Iraqi people’s nationwide demonstrations are gaining strength and the Mosul downfall case, with former Iraqi prime minister Nouri Maliki being the first suspect, is now reopened, Maliki’s own official TV station declared he has gone to Tehran with a number of his inner circle and is not in Iraq. This visit is being made under the pretext of taking part in a Shiite religious conference in Tehran.
It is worth noting that last night Maliki had appeared on Iraqi state TV and in his own words denied any agenda of going to Tehran.
