600 arrested in Iran for breaking fast in the month of Ramadan

Security and judiciary officials in Hamadan and Shiraz announced that since the beginning of the month of Ramadan 600 people have been arrested in these two cities for breaking their fast. Ali Keshavarz, deputy attorney general of Shiraz, said on 31 June that since the beginning of Ramadan, 500 individuals have been arrested in this city by SSF and Bassij forces for breaking their fast.
Also Rasoul Moradi, SSF chief in Hamadan, said that since the beginning of the Ramadan month 100 people have been arrested for breaking their fast and have been introduced to judicial officials.
Moradi told the Fars News Agency that 400 other individuals have received notices for breaking their fast.
