Iran: If the Islamic dress code or “Hijab” is removed, the Islam would be destroyed; a top Iranian cleric says

A top Iranian cleric close to the conservative establishment in Iran from the Holly city of Qom, south of Tehran said if “Hijab” is removed from our society, the Islamic regime will be removed.
Mullah Makarem Shirazi was referring to ruling establishment in Iran when he said the Islamic regime.
Mullah Makarem Shirazi thinks that the western society’s problem is due the women not having the Islamic veil. He said “the Moslem women must give importance to the Islamic dress code, because otherwise they would be inviting trouble from the male population. This mullah believes, according to the Al-Arbia.net that corruption in society is only due to women not being totally covered and the lack of Hijab in society. He warned that right now the situation in Iran is also heading toward lack of Hijab and women more and more are resisting the clerical rule in Iran.
Mullah Makarem Shirazi said “it is wrong to give the women freedom of choosing in what to wear. If you can allow a driver to choose to observe the traffic light as he pleases, you could then give the woman the right to choose her clothing as well.”
He concluded by saying that Hijab is the other side of the coin of the regime’s survival. If the Hijab goes, the regime would go too.
