Isfahan: Government’s failed attempt to prevent another teachers’ demonstration

Following the nationwide teachers uprising last week in 28 provinces which according to some reports about 100,000 teachers throughout the country took part in it, the mullahs’ regime resorted to different means of intimidating teachers not to allow the repeat of such widespread demonstrations.
In that regard, the office of the ministry of education in Isfahan, central Iran threatened teachers and students not to continue their strike saying they will be punished and ultimately dismissed. The threat was meant to intimidate Isfahani teachers to back off from their demand, since it was in Isfahan first that political and anti-government slogans surfaced.
Isfahan teachers had shouted slogans against the regime’s nuclear program and suppressive policies.
