IRAN: Another senior IRGC commander killed in Iraq

According to state-run media in Iran, Reza Hosseini Moqaddam, a senior commander of the Iranian regime’s revolutionary guards (IRGC) was killed in Iraq in the city of Samara on Saturday, February 7. It was only 6 weeks ago that IRGC Brigadier General Hamid Taqavi was killed in this same region.
Reports on senior commanders getting killed in Iraq indicate that many IRGC or Basij forces are killed in Iraq but the news is suppressed by the mullahs’ regime.
The Iranian regime is deeply interfering in Iraq’s internal affairs and is pursuing a policy of purging the Sunnis in that country. The Iranian regime claims that its presence in Iraq is only at an advisory level to Iraqi armed forces.
Mashreg Website, close to the IRGC wrote on February 7: “A number of Iranian youth have voluntarily gone to Iraq to defend the sanctities of Islam.”
