Tehran: Venders on Rezaian Sq. arrested

Following scuffle between venders on Rezaian Sq. and Karim-Khan Blvd. in Tehran with suppressive state security forces, six venders were arrested accused of disrupting the public order.
One of the venders said that since last week that the director of the city hall security was replaced, we were told to take our business out of this area and that setting up street corner shops is against the law. But nobody told us were we can take our business to and what are we supposed to do for living. Our protest and sit in demonstrations have not been effective. If we are forced to leave this area, we wouldn’t be able to support our family. Nobody listens to our grievances and they just tell us to leave without any suggestion as to where to would we leave?
