Afghan citizens demonstrate against Iranian regime brutality

A large group of Afghan citizens and representatives of Afghan civil society in Kabul demonstrated on Tuesday Dec. 30th to protest Iranian regime’s brutality against Afghan refugees in Iran. The demonstration took place in front of the Iranian regime embassy in Kabul. The protesters chanted “No to discrimination” and “Honor the human dignity.” They called for equal and humane treatment of Afghan refugees in Iran.
In a statement issued at the end of the demonstration, the protesters cited some of the brutality by Iranian regime’s agents and officials against Afghan refugees including a video of an Iranian agent punishing Afghan refugees in a humiliating way, punishing four Afghan students in school just because they were of Afghan decent. The teacher forced them to wash their hands in the toilet bowl. Afghans, according to the statement were denied living in 9 of the country’s provinces and in addition Afghan children had to pay more money for their kids’ school.
