At a time when dozens or even hundreds of workers are laid off every day in a total news blackout, the Iranian regime has fired 1100 workers of multiple production units during last week alone.
ILNA official news agency reported that these workers were employed at more than half a dozen factories and technical institutions. Most of them had protested against unpaid wages and salaries and constant change of place of work, some were even labor union leaders.
ILNA added that this is only a “small portion of the catastrophic condition of labor rights in Iran” and that “dozens or even hundreds are fired from job every day in an atmosphere of silence and news blackout”.
