White House shows green light to new sanctions against Iran
The White House issued a statement welcoming new US Treasury Department sanctions against companies and individuals supporting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.
The US Treasury Department blacklisted more than 25 individuals and companies on Friday, August 29th. Some of these entities and companies include: Asia Bank, Middle East Bank, Ghavamin Bank, Resalat Loan Company, Kish International Bank, Me’raj Airliner Company and Caspian Air on charges of transferring weapons and military equipment to Syria; SPND, Iran’s defense research and technology company, Nuclear Techniques and Science Researches and the Pars Takravian World Company.
The names of a number of various officials and regime figures blacklisted by the US Treasury Department are: Mohammad Javad Imani Rod, Arman Imani Rod, Ali Gholami, Marzie Bozorg, Mozzafar Poulad Moases, head of the Royal Oil Company, and Jabbar Hosseini.
