Rouhani’s Defense Minister denies IAEA access to Parchin, nuclear experts, and the missile projects

Mullahs’ adherence to international commitments and giving up the nuclear bomb solely depends on firmness of the international community
The clerical regime, fearful of further disclosure of details of its attempts to obtain the nuclear bomb, announced that it shall not allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect Parchin.
IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan, the clerical regime’s Defense Minister, said on Saturday, August 23: “The IAEA has conducted various inspections of Parchin and they have taken their samples and have arrived at no illegal activities… as such, there is no reason to offer them further access to Parchin since nothing has happened in Parchin since their last inspection.”
This is despite the fact that the mullahs’ regime has committed itself to offer answers to the IAEA questions by August 25 on the “probable military dimensions of its nuclear program”. In recent years, the IAEA has numerously expressed concern about large explosions and testing of powerful explosive detonators in Parchin and has requested to inspect certain sections of this site. There is specific information about introducing substantial changes to this area of Parchin to erase any traces of these tests.
Mullah Rouhani’s Defense Minister once again illustrated his anger in this conference concerning the disclosure of regime’s clandestine nuclear and missile programs by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). He stated: “Regrettably, the agency gets its information from the enemies of the system and the PMOI and this information has never been correct… our suggestion to the IAEA is that given the transparency of Iran’s nuclear program there is no reason to get information from the PMOI; further, it is abnormal for those who claim their activities are totally supported by documents to base their claims on the information provided by these grouplets.”
Dehghan who is quite fearful of the disclosure of the illegal secrets of regime’s nuclear and missile projects went on to say that the regime shall not allow the missile program to become part of the negotiations with the P5+1 and that “Iran’s missile capability never was and shall never be subject of negotiations with anyone”. He added: “Not only we shall not give any information about our scientists, but there shall be no access to this information either.” (Fars and Mehr News Agencies, August 23).
This criminal IRGC element who is a founder of the Lebanese Hezbollah acknowledged that the mullahs have channeled all of country’s resources for military objectives and said: “Today, 51 representatives from the Defense Ministry are stationed at higher-level educational centers and 91 universities in the country work directly with the Defense Ministry and have important research projects.”
These statements by mullahs’ Defense Minister once again demonstrates this reality that the clerical regime and the Rouhani’s government have no intention to give up the project to obtain the atom bomb and any hope for changes inside this regime is but a mirage that buys time for the mullahs to obtain the nuclear bomb, as well as for their further aggressions and warmongerings in the region.
Once again the Iranian Resistance emphasizes that in the future, as in the past, the extent of retreat by this regime, its abandoning of pursuit for the nuclear bomb, and its adherence to its international commitments depend on the extent of firmness on part of the international community with this regime. Full implementation of the Security Council resolutions, complete halt on all enrichment, acceptance of the additional protocol, and IAEA’s unfettered access to suspicious centers and facilities and experts of this regime are the prerequisites for this regime to give up its pursuit of the nuclear bomb.
