The first plane carrying German humanitarian aid landed in Irbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. Berlin said 24 million euros of humanitarian aid will be delivered to Kurdistan and Kurdish forces fighting against ISIS will also be equipped.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier spoke of this aid package on Saturday during his trip to Iraq.
