Iran: ministers, central bank chief played role in plundering $2.7bn in oil money

Bizhan Namdar Zangane, oil minister in Rouhani’s cabinet, admitted that Babak Zanjani cooperated with a number of Ahmadinejad ministers and the central bank chief in receiving $2.7bn in oil money, depositing it in his forged bank account and finally all of this money has been completely lost.
According to the regime’s official IRNA news agency, Zangane accused Ahmadinejad’s group of taking advantage of their power and exploiting their opportunities.
“Most of Babak Zanjani’s debt was related to crude oil given to him to sell it abroad, but this money was never deposited into the government’s account,” Zangane said. It is worth noting that Babak Zanjani had said he is a soldier of Khamenei.
