Rama Yade, former French minister for Human Right, the vice president for the French radical party

Rama Yade said in her speech at Iranian Gathering in Paris: “Let me tell you a few words about women’s rights in tomorrow’s Iran. There is no revolution without women. We can not reshape the degree of progress in a society through the role of women in this society. So many of them have been executed just for opposing the regime. So many of them rule the resistance especially now at Camp Ashraf. Those women, those mothers, those wives have proved their courage during the past June 2009 nationwide demonstrations. They refused misogynist laws and medieval punishments implemented by the theocracy ruling Iran under the pretext of Islam. They are fundamentally contrary to the genuine teaching of Islam as well as its message of tolerance and compassion.”
