Iran: pol prisoner on 24th day of hunger strike

Political prisoner Reza Shahabi is on his 24th day of hunger strike on Tuesday, July 24th. This member of the Tehran bus drivers’ syndicate has been on hunger strike since 1 June 2014 protesting his transfer from Tehran’s Evin Prison to Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, west of the Iranian capital. He is currently suffering from severely low blood pressure, decreasing weight and intense pains in his muscles and spinal cord.
