Turkey evacuates consulate in Basra, Iraq

Ankara has evacuated its consulate in Basra in southern Iraq. Reuters cited Turkey Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu saying the staff of this consulate, including the chief consul, was transferred to Kuwait due to security threats.
He emphasized up to now there is no plan to evacuate the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad.
