Three weeks after the strike of over 5,000 ore mine workers in the city of Bafagh in Yazd Province, traders and bazaar merchants of this city joined their strike on Monday, June 9th, closing all their shops in solidarity with the workers.
The striking bazaar merchants said they will continue their strike on Tuesday.
The mine workers are protesting the handover of the mine to plundering state factions, going on strike ever since Sunday, May 18th. Workers in the Bafagh New Mine have also been on strike for two weeks now, reports indicate.
