Syrian rebels advance in Damascus’ Qalamoun front

Syrian rebels have inflicted major blows to Assad forces in the Qalamoun region of Damascus, Orient TV reported. Dozens of Assad troops and militants were killed in the rebels’ recent ‘Desert Storm’ series of attacks, Orient TV.
A company of Assad forces stationed in the Qalamoun region of Damascus were completely annihilated in these attacks. Many high ranking Assad officers and the commander of the 20th Battalion stationed in a nearby airport were killed in these rebel attacks. Furthermore, at least 40 Hezbollah fighters, in the region to support Assad’s presidential guards battalions, were also killed.
