Ukrainian police arrested 70 Russia supporters in the city of Kharkov that had taken over administrative buildings. Russia supporters, provoked by Moscow, clashed with the police.
“Russia is taking advantage of this situation to disrupt the status quo,” one Ukrainian citizen said.
Simultaneously, the Ukrainian Parliament passed a bill reforming the country’s penal code. Based on these changes the punishment of crimes related to national security, especially resistance against Ukrainian armed forces, spying and sabotage will be intensified. The goal of this bill is to take action against spying and sabotage attacks conducted by Russian agents.
