Iran: ‘Manslaughter’ court for blogger murderer

After months of follow ups by the parents of the slain Iranian blogger Sattar Beheshti, the mullahs’ regime said on Tuesday, April 8th, a so-called court will see into the accusations raised against a FATA police agent accused of manslaughter in the Sattar Beheshti case. The objective in raising manslaughter allegations in the murder of Sattar Beheshti is to round up and close the case once and for all by paying blood money to the Beheshti family. However, Sattar’s parents have said they will not take part in this so-called court that is raising manslaughter charges against the FATA police agent and they are not willing to make a deal on their child’s blood with money.
In December 2013, a criminal court for government workers turned down charges of premeditated murder for the FATA police agent in the death of Sattar Beheshti, and called it a case of manslaughter.
With these new allegations, Sattar Beheshti’s family has ended their follow ups on this case. This is while all evidence indicates this murder was premeditated and Sattar’s family has even shown the autopsy reports to various lung, brain, liver and kidney specialists and they have confirmed that the blows Sattar received under torture led to the bleeding and this young man died of internal bleeding.
