Ayad Allawi meets with a Sadrist delegation on upcoming elections

Al-Wataniya Coalition leader Ayad Allawi held a meeting with a delegation of the Ahrar current associated to Muqata Sadr. This delegation was led by MP Mashreq Naji and other MPs such as Amir al-Kanani and Jawad al-Jabouri, along with Baghdad Governor Ali al-Tamimi, Baghdad Provincial Council member Kamel al-Sa’di, who all took part in this meeting, emphasizing the importance of a joint effort to protect Iraq from the consequences of the current sensitive situation. The two parties emphasized on the necessity of holding the elections on time and without delay in order to protect the political and democratic trend in the country and guarantee the peaceful transfer of power.
