Fears of sanctions spreading from Russian to Iran

Intensifying clashes between Russia and the West over Ukraine and the Crimea Peninsula, and the US imposing punishing sanctions against Russia along with rumors of such sanctions spreading in the near future, have all led to the Iranian regime becoming terrified.
The state-run Tabnak website posted a report on Wednesday, March 26th, entitled “US Congress attempting to intensify Iran sanctions under Russia sanctions pretext”.
This article says, “The American ‘National Journal’ website reported that on Tuesday a US Congress panel voted unanimously approving Russian sanctions punishing Moscow for annexing the Crimea Peninsula. This includes imposing the 2005 sanctions bill against Iran, North Korea and Syria, allowing the US President to sanction individuals suspected of sending ‘sensitive material’ to the three mentioned countries.”
