Canada: Iranians call for protection of Camp Liberty refugees

Groups of Iranians living in Canadian cities of Ottawa and Montreal gathered outside U.S. consulates calling for action to protect Iranian refugees in Iraq and free the seven Camp Ashraf residents abducted by Iraqi force on September 1.
The protesters called on U.S. and U.N. to end silence and inaction about the plight of Iranian refugees in Iraq whom they have promised to protect.
They condemned the attacks of the Iraqi government at the behest of the Iranian regime against Iranian refugees in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty in Iraq and called for an immediate halt to the attacks that has left 116 killed, hundreds wounded , and seven taken hostage by Iraqi force.
Iranians in Canada called for an independent investigation into these crimes by the United Nations.
Camp Liberty, where the inhabitants were forcibly moved to from their home of 26 years, is a prison according to two opinions by the U.N. Working Group on Arbitrary Detentions.
Protesters urged immediate relocation of all the residents, to the U.S. and Europe.
