Iran: Dervish hunger strike in Tehran’s Evin Prison with other Pol prisoners joining

The Dervish inmates’ hunger strike in ward 350 of Tehran’s Evin Prison continues. This hunger strike was launched protesting the exile of political prisoners Reza Entesari and Farshi Yadollahi, and also the lack of medical care for the inmates. Political prisoners Hamid Reza Moradi Sarustani, Mostafa Daneshju, Amir Islami, Omid Behrouzi, Afshin Karampour, Reza Entesari, Farshid Yadollahi and Saeed Madani have been on hunger strike since March 2nd. During the past few days political prisoners Gholam Reza Khosravi, Ali Salanpour and Behan Ibrahimzadeh in ward 350 of Evin Prison have joined these inmates and are currently on hunger strike.
According to incoming reports on Tuesday, March 12th, a large number of Intelligence Ministry agents in Evin’s ward 350 threatened the Dervish hunger strikers to end their protest. However, the inmates were steadfast and said they will continue their hunger strike until their demands are met.
