The President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, met and discussed with Iraqi tribal sheikhs, representatives of political parties and social and cultural personalities of that country who had come to Paris for participation in the grand gathering of Iranian Resistance in Villepinte, Paris in her residence Auver-sur-oise.
In this meeting, personalities and tribal sheikhs and representatives of Iraqi political currents from different political, religious and ethnic entities participated.
Addressing representatives of political currents and personalities and Iraqi sheikhs, Mrs. Rajavi said: We have two valuable experiments in front of us: The Iranian people and Resistance experience and the Iraqi experience. Both show that the main principle to save the people of Islamic countries is demarcation with the clerical regime. We were able to confront against the horrible reactionary religious force in Iran because we concentrated on the main issue in our society, namely the religious dictatorship and focused on this very same enemy. And of course this will guarantee the victory and salvation of Iran and Iraq and the region from the villainy of religious despotism.
The Iraqi tribal sheikhs and political and social personalities, in their remarks, asserted on the solidarity and strategic practice unity with the Iranian people and Resistance and announced they would defend and would be an ally of Ashraf residents, and this solidarity and struggle vis-à-vis terrorism and reaction and seditions of the clerical regime, prior to anything else, is for Iraq and is for defending peace, stability and national conciliation in Iraq.
Iraqi personalities emphasized that in confrontation against terrorism and fundamentalism exported by the clerical dictatorship, the PMOI are the best friends and allies for the Iraqi people and alliance and strategic unity with Ashraf PMOI residents and Iranian Resistance is guarantee of friendship and good neighborliness relations between two nation of Iraq and Iran.
