Iranian regime’s support for Bashar Assad: report

The Iranian regime’s financial support for Bashar Assad has reached billions of dollars during the course of the Syrian crisis, and it was this support that allowed Assad to not give any concessions in the Geneva negotiations, Reuters reported.
This financial support includes sending experts from the Revolutionary Guards and terrorist Quds Force to Syria. According to Reuters’ sources Quds Force commanders inside Iran and abroad are in charge of briefing and training Assad regime troops, and supporting them in gathering information and supervising the Assad regime’s attack operations.
The Reuters report clarifies the Iranian regime sends these forces from specific areas to the Turkish border while others enter Syria through Iraqi borders. The forces dispatched by the Iranian regime work in the coastal regions of Tartus and Lazeqiya, and they have local ID cards and wear Syrian Army uniforms.
