Dehloran: Workers of the under-construction Dehloran Prison staged a protest gathering on Wednesday, February 19th, demanding their delayed paychecks. The construction project has come to a halt for a week now since workers and contractors have not received their salaries.
On Tuesday, a group of people had gone to stores to receive the government-sponsored food baskets. This turned into an anti-government rally with people protesting the unorganized method of distributing the goods and lack of adequate food products, adding the items announced by the government are not in the food basket. They went on to demand their items according to what the government had announced.
Others were protesting the fact that this distribution was conducted without any registering or numbering, allowing those having links to the regime’s organs to receive their goods without having to wait in long lines.
