The International Monetary Fund said that Iran’s economy faces deep structural weaknesses as intensified nuclear sanctions have added to other domestic challenges to the government.
The IMF said a combination of shocks had “weakened the economy,” including “the intensification of trade and financial sanctions” over the country’s disputed nuclear plan.
