Iraqi VP calls on Security Council to weigh Maliki’s aggression against Anbar

Iraqi Vice President Dr. Tareq al-Hashemi issued a statement on developments in Anbar calling on the UN Security Council to evaluate Maliki’s aggression against Anbar Province.
“Victory is near. I call on all Iraqis and say to them the opportunity for change is in hand and they must not lose it. Come to the squares and support your brothers persevering in Fallujah, Ramadi, Abu Ghareib, Diyala, Mosul and Tikrit. Disrupt your enemy’s efforts and stage attacks against them in all fronts,” he said.
Another part of this message reads, “The UN Security Council must hold an urgent meeting to evaluate Maliki’s aggressions against Anbar Province.”
