Workers’ protests quelled by regime forces

Ahwaz: At the site of Rouhani’s speech, a group of workers holding placards, protested to their unemployment. A number of youths were holding signs that protested to the diversion and sale of the Karoon River water by the mullahs’ regime. The regime’s security forces and plane-clothes agents attacked the workers and youths and collected their signs and placards. At the end of Rouhani’s speech, the Ahwazi youths chanted slogans against high prices and unemployment.
Tehran: Some 1000 workers from the Razi Petrochemical Company staged a protest gathering for the fourth time this week outside the company’s central office in Bandar Shahpour.
Tehran: More than 200 bus drivers from Tehran bus company (Sherkat-e Vahed) staged a gathering in Tehran on Monday, 13 January and protested to the show-election of the workers’ representatives, which was carried out by the regime Labor Department.
