Four Kurdish political prisoners in Iran’s Ghezel Hesar Prison surpassed their 72nd day of hunger strike on Tuesday, while prison physicians are saying they have reached the point of no return and must end their hunger strike. However, the four political prisoners have said they will continue until their death penalties are revoked. At the same time the families of these inmates back in Sanadaj surpassed their 17th day of hunger strikers in solidarity with their loved ones.
According to other reports received from inside Iran a group of prisoners of Ward 350 in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison are protesting the banning of medical care for political prisoner Ahmad Daneshpoor Moghadam, a relative of Camp Liberty residents. The protesting political prisoners are demanding Moghadam’s transfer to a hospital and in a letter they have warned of his conditions being ‘critical’.
