The Iranian regime hanged another 6 inmates in the cities of Urumieh and Salmas. Four of these prisoners were sent to the gallows in Urumieh and two others executed in Salmas.
The mullahs’ regime had also hanged four prisoners on January 7th in the cities of Ghazvin and Gachsaran. The executed inmate in Gachsaran was a 24-year old youth from Kohkilaviyeh & Boyer Ahmad Province. An inmate in Sari Prison was also executed three days prior to that.
In the meantime on January 8th, at least two inmates in Bandar Abbas Prison were transferred to solitary confinement in preparations for execution.
Despite concerns expressed by the international community and human rights violations by Rouhani’s government, waves of executions continue on an increasing scale. Ahmed Shaheed, UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Violations, in Iran expressed his deep concerns regarding flagrant human rights violations in Iran.
