Iraqi tribes continue attacks against state forces in various areas

Tribal forces in Diyala Province set ablaze 5 HUMVEE vehicles belonging to Maliki’s military forces. Two other HUMVEE vehicles were also set on fire in clashes between Iraqi government forces and armed tribes in the city of Ramadi in al-Anbar Province.
Military clashes between armed tribes and Maliki’s forces have spread to many other areas of the country, including Tikrit and Taremiya in northern Iraq where 13 state security force members were killed.
According to local Iraqi TV reports a military convoy of Maliki’s forces was attacked by al-Anbar armed tribes in the Fallujah international road. In this attack numerous military vehicles were destroyed and a number of others fell into the hands of tribes after Maliki forces fled the scene.
