Iraq’s Grand Mufti: Peace means no Maliki forces in al-Anbar

According to reports from Iraq’s local TV networks, tribal forces have gained control over the government compound in downtown Fallujah and have stopped the broadcasting of the al Anbar TV network. Some of Maliki’s military forces have surrendered themselves to tribal forces. The tribal forces also destroyed two SWAT vehicles that intended to infiltrate the city of Fallujah. They have also taken over the base of Maliki’s 1st Army Division, and have captured its forces.
Allama Sheikh Abdul-Malek al-Saadi, Iraq’s Grand Mufti announced in a statement that peace means that none of Maliki’s soldiers, federal police or forces have present in the province, otherwise the territory is occupied and this is a deception. He also praised Sheikh al-Jomaila who has taken in a number of Maliki’s forces who turned themselves in.
