Growing workers’ protests in various Iranian cities

Ahvaz:


Deprived retired workers of the Ahvaz Pipe Manufacturing Company staged a gathering on Sunday, December 29th, for the second time this week outside the regime’s public prosecutor office in this city demanding their salaries and pensions unpaid for the past 6 months.


Saghez:


Workers of Saghez Koohdasht Company went on strike on Monday, December 30th, protesting their paychecks being delayed for the past 10 months. They rallied for the second time outside this company’s office.


South Khorasan:


A number of workers of the Shahku Mountain mines in South Khorasan rallied protesting their delayed salaries for the past 3 months.


Rasht:


A number of workers of the Lushan Cement Factory protested the closing of this plant by rallying outside of this the regime’s governorate office. This is the second such gathering by the workers’ of this factory in the past two weeks.


Miandoab:


Workers of the ‘Sahand Azar’ Company staged a gathering on Saturday, December 28th, protesting not receiving their paychecks for the past 6 months. The striking workers also demanded expelled workers to return to their jobs.


Kermanshah:


On Monday, December 30th, a group of insurance holders in this city protested mismanagement by the regime’s insurance department and not responding to people’s demands. These protesters rallied outside the regime’s Social Security Office in the city’s Ferdowsi Avenue.


Khoramshahr:


Municipality workers rallied in the city’s main square demanding their delayed paychecks and overtime work wages during the past months.
