Lebanon’s al-Mustaqbel daily reported the deaths of two Iraqis dispatched to Syria.
“The Syrian regime, and specifically Bashar Assad and his intelligence apparatus, since 2003 has been involved in the terrorist attacks ongoing in Iraq and supported the passing of armed al-Qaeda groups through Syria into Iraq. In an agreement between the Iranian regime and Syria, the passing of armed fundamentalists to Iraq took place aimed at gaining concessions from US forces.”
