Two shoe throwers against Rouhani apprehended

INTV, 29 Sep 2013 – Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi, deputy chief of the mullahs’ State Security Force, said two individuals who threw shoes at Rouhani upon his return to Tehran have been apprehended.
“Two people have been arrested for ‘creating disruption’ during Rouhani’s welcoming ceremony upon his return to Iran from the US,” he said. “The police has not arrested these people. We cannot arrest everyone who was on bare feet.”
These individuals threw a shoe at Rouhani while chanting ‘Death to America’. The actions of these individuals and the news of their arrest by an unknown security unit reveals the intensity of the infighting in Iran.
