Iran: 5 more prisoners hanged in two cities

NCRI, 25 Sep 2013 – The Iranian regime hanged 4 young men on Tuesday, September 24 in Kerman Prison.
An 18-year-old was also hanged last week in Kazeroon Prison. He was 14 at the time of committing the alleged crime and had been kept in prison for 4 years to reach the age of 18 to be executed.
At least 30 prisoners have been executed in Iran in the past five days. Hence, after the June 14 sham presidential election, number of executions announced by regime’s media or disclosed otherwise stands at 178.
On Saturday, September 21, nine prisoners were hanged in two group executions in prisons of Zahedan and Qazvin. Sunni compatriots Ahmad Issa Zehi, Rashid Soufian, Khaled Reigei, Hamidreza Karimi and Ghaffar Nourzehei were hanged in Zahedan prison.
Thousands of prisoners, including 3000 in Qezelhessar prison in Kara and more than 300 in Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah, are on the death row.
