Negotiations with US is futile: Khamenei’s IRGC envoy

Mullah Saeedi, Khamenei’s representative in the Revolutionary Guards, described negotiations with the United States as futile, adding the Islamic republic has no option to withdraw, the state-run Entekhab media outlet reported on Monday.
“The enemy’s plot is a mixture of three elements: sanctions, negotiations and threats,” he said in a speech on Sunday night.
“Negotiations will bear no fruit. Our establishment has so many problems with the US that there is no option to back down from any of them. These problems include our support for Hezbollah, support for Gaza, the Islamic Awakening (term used by the Iranian regime for the Arab Spring), Iraq, Bahrain, the nuclear issue and human rights,” Saeedi added.
“If we surrender, a few very unfortunate events will take place, including insecurity for the religious state,” he continued.
