Maliki’s forces open fire on Mosul protesters, kill 2 and injure 4

Al Rafedein TV, 7 Jan 2013 – Maliki’s repressive forces opened fire on demonstrators in Mosul and prevented their entrance into the city’s Ahrar Square.
During this attack two demonstrators were killed by Maliki’s repressive forces while four others were injured.
Demonstrators in Mosul had staged their rally outside the governorate office, which on Sunday had provided residents permits to stage demonstrations.


In other news, al-Taqeer TV aired reports indicating Iraqi Army vehicles attacked and ran over demonstrators in Mosul, leading to five demonstrators being injured.
According to the latest news, Neinawa Province Governor Atheel al-Nujaifi and members of the province council along with a number city residents opened Ahrar Square for the demonstrators.
