Iran: Political prisoners Zanyar Moradi and Loghman Moradi face imminent execution

NCRI, January 6, 2013 According to news received from Iran’s Gohardasht Prison on Saturday, two Kurdish political prisoners Zanyar Moradi and Loghman Moradi are facing imminent execution. The prosecutor general of Iranian Kurdistan has travelled to Gohardasht Prison to carry out their execution.

Political prisoners in Gohardasht called on all international human rights organization to take immediate measures to prevent the execution of Zanyar Moradi and Loghman Moradi.
Zanyar and Loghman were arrested in the city of Marivan, western Iran. They were tortured for months by the agents of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in the city of Sanandaj to make forced confessions including involvement in killing the son of the so-called Friday prayer leader in the city of Marivan.
In separate letters, these two political prisoners have described the tortures they endured at the hands of the regime’s agents and they have denied all allegations raised against them.
