The Kuwait-based al-Seyassah daily published an article linking the beginning of international terrorism to the mullahs’ rise to power in Iran.
“History will keep in its memory the cases of those many convicted, directly related to Iran and its bloody plans in the 1980s, cases that have neither become obsolete nor forgotten. Furthermore, history will never forget those who worked very hard to find markets for Iran’s destructive measures with the goal of exporting this regime’s revolution, such as what is taking place in Iraq today,” the daily wrote.
“Khomeini personally founded the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq in 1981 to have an entity of this regime in Iraq’s framework. The Iranian regime, from its very first day in power, placed efforts to overthrow the former regime in Iraq and used numerous sectarian groups in Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for similar measures in these countries,” the article added.
