Kurdish parties warn of dictatorial rule in Iraq

Iraqi Kurdistan political parties and movements held a meeting, with Kurdistan Regional Government President Massud Barzani participating, warning of dictatorial rule in Iraq and announcing their readiness to confront any circumstances.
In this meeting, Kurdistan political parties and movements expressed concerns over Nouri Maliki’s recent stances emphasizing the activities of Dijla Operations Command and dispatching military forces to Kirkuk, Tuz Khurmatu and separated regions from Iraqi Kurdistan.
Participants in this meeting called on the Kurdish people to take a unified stance for the protection of the region, their legal rights and the democratic trend in Iraq.
The Kurdish political parties and movements stressed on preventing the reemergence of dictatorial rule and the establishment of military rule in Baghdad, calling on Iraqi political parties and movements to prevent the implementation of this dangerous plot pursued by the central government.
