Iraq MP call for halt in arbitrary detentions

Iraqi MP Attab al-Douri, called for a halt in the wave of arbitrary detentions against the people of the Taji, Taremiya and Abu-Ghoraib areas, NINA reported. In a press statement this MP announced that “security organs have launched a wave of arbitrary arrests against the people in the Baghdad suburbs under the pretext of sectarianism”.
“They beat the detainees and close all routes to these villages, an issue that causes many problems for the people of these areas”, this Iraqi MP added.
