Solidarity of Iraqi National Movement with declaration of 120,000 Iraqis

The Iraqi National Movement statement reads: The declaration of 120,000 Iraqi people regarding rejecting cruel relocation of Ashraf residents to Liberty prison is a sample of Iraqis’ dignity in opposing injustice and repression.
In recent months that the project of relocation of Ashraf residents to a prison that regrettably is called Liberty, is going on, our offices and branches in different provinces and especially in Baghdad have been faced with expressions of hatred by people and tribes members regarding this displacement on people who have been our guests for more than a quarter of a century.
By denying most basic living necessities such and water, electricity, infrastructures and the right of transferring their properties, Ashraf residents are being persecuted and mistreated and the government affiliated bodies are officially threatened them to confiscate their properties.
By defending noble Iraqi values, the children of this nation demand keeping dignity and respect of Ashraf residents and express their hatred and abhorrence about the explicit persecution implemented against the innocents by the ruling party to appease the Iranian regime.
The statement adds: we believe that the UN should assume responsibility of the camp and announce it under the flag of the UN.
