Iranian Resistance reveals mullahs’ secrets on developing nuclear warheads

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in a press conference in Brussels disclosed information on Iranian regime’s Command and Control Center for production of atom bomb and its nuclear warhead project, on Wednesday.
NCRI revealed details of the project including location of the nuclear weapons program command headquarters. The location of the sites where the project is developed and names of officials and experts who are participating in the Iran regime’s nuclear weapons program were presented in the conference.
Mohammad Mohaddessin, chairman of the foreign-affairs committee of the NCRI revealed that Iranian regime is developing a nuclear warhead for use on its medium-range missiles at Khojir, a defense-ministry missile-research site on the southeast edge of Tehran.
The information came from the sources of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) within the regime’s nuclear project and various organs of the clerical regime. Many of the sources had access to the centers or visited them regularly.
These revelations were discovered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran after the release of the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) report last December.

Arrival of top missile experts in nuclear weapons making organ indicates that the regime is getting close to make the nuclear weapons operational

Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran:
Today I would like to explain about two sections which had not been exposed so far. They concern the mullahs’ regime’s nuclear activities to acquire nuclear bomb.
First is the command and control center as well as the center for military nuclear research. The second is the regime’s nuclear warhead project.
These were discovered by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) after the release of the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) report last December.
These show that, first of all, the regime is undoubtedly after the nuclear bomb, and second, none of the three essential parts to make nuclear bomb have not been halted, but instead, are rapidly moving ahead.
The information about these two sections is obtained from PMOI’s sources within the regime’s nuclear project and various organs of the clerical regime in different levels. Many of the sources have been to these centers or visit them regularly.
A- Command and Control Center for production of atom bomb
1-  In April 2007, the regime entered a new phase in its nuclear project and for the first time a center for command and control for completion of nuclear bomb known as "Field for Development of Advanced Strategic Technologies" was set up. The command center has been set up in Lavizan 2 site and it is the new generation of the old center which was set up in 2004.
This is an independent part of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) which has its own directorates and sub-divisions.
2-  The center is known as Mojdeh site and is under the management of a scientist named Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mahabadi. The 47-year-old is a nuclear physicist and a member of the IRGC who directly reports to the Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najar.
Note: Mostafa Mohammad Najar was a high ranking commander of IRGC in Lebanon who was directly involved in the bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in 1983 in that country.
3-  The location of the site is as follows: Tehran - Lavizan, Mojdeh st. toward Babai Highway across from Nobonyad Ally (in the Noor Township).
This site from the east is bound by Imam Ali Highway, from the west is bound by the north side of the Mojdeh st. which itself runs into Babai Highway. From the south the site runs into a dead end fifth ally (which is an extension of Mojdeh st.). Mojdeh st. is an east-west street which from the north runs to Babai Highway.
[Appendix: Mojdeh site, Malek Ashtar university and Shiyan site are clearly marked in the satellite photo]
4-  Background
In 1993 the research for developing weapons in the IRGC’s research center had begun.
Later these activities were followed in the College for Defense Industries, a subdivision of Center for Research and Defense Industries and Training which is located in Shiyan Lavizan.
Following the revelation of Shiyan site in 2003, the work was transferred to Mojdeh site in Lavizan under the title of Center for Preparation of New Defense Skills.
Since April 2007, the organization of the site underwent major changes within the MOD. Such changes were in line with the new mission which was intended for this organ from the beginning; to the extend that it was changed from preparation center to operation center.
In addition to the above mentioned activities in the site itself and its various centers, it has a separate mission which is the role of command and control for all other organizations which are involved in the production of the nuclear weapon. To name a few sites which are working under the command of the Mojdeh site, there are a part of Parchin site, Hemat and Bakeri Industries (they are making ballistic missiles) in Khojir and other research centers of the IRGC and MOD.
5-  In January 2008, a sign on the southern gate reads Center for Preparation of New Defense Skills and another sign was hanged on the northern gate reads Center for Science and Technology of Malek Ashtar University (Two satellite photos of the Mojdeh site are attached).
This site is a highly classified place and is under 24 hours protection of the security forces. According to a classified directive issued by intelligence office of the center, all personnel who are working in the site must conceal the location from their family members.
Many of the activities of the site are disguised as part of Malek Ashtar University, since the site is adjacent to the university. Communications with the site is primarily carried out by the site’s administration and no outside contacts are allowed.
6-  As it is evident in the map, Malek Ashtar University is in fact a part of this command center and with a special bridge the two complexes are connected on two sides of the highway. Tehran compass of the Malik Ashtar University does not look like a school in anyway, rather it is a center for research and development of weapons and it is in constant contact with the Mojdeh site.
7-  The above center and Malik Ashtar University which is an annex to Mojdeh site, all are working for the same purpose. As far as we have been able to gather, there are 12 inter-related tasks of building atomic bombs are going on.
a.  Working on neutron generator and a trigger for atomic bomb: the scientists in this center are producing 210 and beryllium for making a trigger for the atomic bomb. To this end, Imam Hossein University is closely cooperating with the center. One of the scientists who has worked in this field extensively is Freydoun Abbasi.
b.  Another field in which the scientists from the Mojdeh site are working on is to build and reshape metals. According to our information, in this section of the site the ability to build uranium hemisphere has already been achieved. It is worthy of note that building uranium hemisphere has strict military use in building the bomb.
c.  Research on the material which produces the nuclear bomb including highly enriched uranium and plutonium is done under the supervision of nuclear physicist such as Freydoun Abbasi and Mansur Asgari among others.
d.  Laser uranium enriching: The scientists in this center are experts in this method. They are Mohammad Bssam and a few others who work with him in the Parchin site.
e.  Nano Technology: The technology is widely used in the production of nuclear weapons. The regime’s top scientist in this field is Saiid Borji, a doctorate degree in material engineering and an expert on implosions. He is a member of the IRGC who is active in development of nano diamond technology at Mojdeh site. An application of nano diamond is to enhance the quality of lubricants used in the machines. Borji is a specialist on lubricants for P2 centrifuges. He is the top scientist in nano technology in Iran.
f.   The scientists in the Mojdeh site work on powerful explosions. One such scientist is Ali Mehdipour, a civil engineer working on projects. He is specifically engaged in high energy material and works closely with Borji. Explosion testing is done in Parchin.
g.  Robots are instrumental in many of nuclear tests conducted at Mojdeh site. Such highly poisonous material such as plutonium and Beryllium are performed with the help of robots in the center. Two scientists, Katanbaf and Vahedi, overseeing this project.
h.  Radiation detection: Mojdeh site is involved in developing radiation detection system. The system is used to measure the amount of radioactive contamination and its effects on the environment.
i.   Electronichs and computer: Computer science and electronichs engineering are highly instrumental in developing nuclear warhead and missile control system. Dr. Mehdi Naghayan Fesharaki, head of research and development of aeronautics organization, and Mohammad Hossein Ghezelayaq, head of research department at Malek Ashtar University are the two top experts at Mojdeh site in the field. They work on the electronic parts in the warhead and nuclear weapons research.
j.   Protection against radioactive materials: Regular check ups of the armed forces personnel exposed to radioactive materials was controlled by Atomic Energy Organization. Since December 2007 such medical check ups have been transferred to Mojdeh site. The new radiation institute which is part of Mojdeh site is conducting all the research for military personnel. Such activities concentrated at Mojdeh site are indicative of the regime’s increased nuclear activities with military nature at the Mojdeh site which requires constant check up on the military personnel working in the site and exposed to radiation.
8-  The related sites
Mojdeh site has been divided into a group of smaller sites which are directly managed by the mother site. A number of which are operating in secret near capital and some others are active in other cities throughout the country.
In addition there are some important military and governmental centers which are operating under the command of Mojdeh site.
Some are as follows:
-       Parchin site
-       Khojir site
-       Center for research and development of defense industries
-       The Atomic Energy Organization
-       Number of military research centers
-       Secret center in Tehran
-       Secret centers in other cities.
