Paris warns Iranian regime on threats of closing key oil transit

The French Government warned the Iranian regime for threatening to close the key oil transit Strait of Hormuz. French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero said as long as human rights and non-proliferation is concerned, Paris has called on Iranian regime officials to respect international laws, in addition to shipping in international waters and straits.
It is worth noting that Mohammad Reza Rahimi, Ahmadinejad’s first deputy had threatened to close the key Strait of Hormuz if the West sanctions the Iranian regime’s oil exports. Roughly one third of the world’s sea bound oil passes through this strategic transit point between Iran and Oman.
