Having a US Green Card is a ‘crime’: Iran’s FM spokesman

The Iranian regime’ state-run Bulletin News on November 4th cited the mullahs’ Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying to reporters that in the view of the clerical regime, having a US Green Card, which in fact is a document of American nationality, is considered a crime. Mehmanparast made these absurd remarks during a speech at the Reporters’ Press Club.
The reason he stated was that under the mullahs’ rule having dual-citizenship is in violation of the constitution.
In response to a question that is the mullahs’ Foreign Ministry seeking to gain Green Cards for its United Nations staff in New York, the so-called Foreign Ministry spokesman said: “This is more like an April fools lie and is not true whatsoever.”
It is worth noting that it has been recently revealed that one of the members of the clerical regime’s Majlis (parliament) actually holds a US Green Card.
