Arabic delegation warns Maliki on defying international laws, implementing mullahs’ demands

Al-Rafidain TV aired an interview with Mehdi al-Atiat, President of the Arabic Delegation in Defense of Ashraf reporting:
Iraqi political figures rejected the deadline against Ashraf residents and said they do not want Iraq to become a model country of violating human rights. These political dignitaries held Nouri Maliki’s government responsible for any tarnishing of their country’s name.
“The remarks made by the Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister and envoy in Iraq shows there is a conspiracy against Ashraf residents,” al-Atiat said. “This is because they are the Iranian regime’s political opponents and it appears the Iraqi government intends to implement that conpsiracy.”
“While the UN needs a census and registration of the people in Ashraf, the Iraqi government is in an international bottleneck,” he added. “They claim they are taking legal action, yet I want to explain that Maliki himself is accused and wanted by the Spanish National Court. According to a writ issued against him if his immunity is lifted he will be transferred to the Spanish court. I advise the Iraqi government to return to legal principles and not neglect international laws because there are many questions and issues against the Iraqi government regarding human rights and international violations.”
