Iran: Gatvand Dam workers’ strike continues

Workers of Gatvand Dam in southwestern Iran remain on strike, protesting 6 months of unpaid salaries. Based reports from the city of Shushtar near this dam, these 300 workers have been on strike since October 2nd demanding the company workers to pay their delayed salaries.
One of these workers said around 800 other workers have been laid off in the past 6 months, with company officials planning to expel another 200 workers in the next 10 days. These workers have filed complaints in nearly all governmental offices in the Khuzestan Province (SW Iran) without receiving any replies to their requests
